Description
Glencoe Purple Thornless Floricane Raspberry (Rubus species X). Glencoe was developed by the Scottish Crop Research Institute. A cross of native black raspberry and red raspberry. The flavor is reported to be excellent and the plant can be bushy and ideal for containers or the home garden. Excellent Flavor Tip (approx. 30") to keep it as a compact bush, it does not spread. Keep in the pot until the plant is larger and starts growing fast. Heat Tolerant.

Berry Update - This is an outstanding dessert berry. Mine produced weeks of beautiful, soft and juicy berries with a sweet flavor. The color range is beautiful, soft pink with purple overtones, they make a lovely topping for cakes and pastries. Lots of berries over many weeks make this a 5 star berry bush. Thank you.

Glencoe Purple raspberries
Wonderful berries that freeze well. In my experience they will spread if left to do do. If they spread they are no longer floricanes. High producers, large wonderful berries.

Excellent company !
Ordered various berries from 3 different companies this year, not knowing which would have the best product. Hands down this company provided the most robust healthy plants and delivered well packaged and in record time. Will definitely order more from this company. Plants were so green and healthy they looked like they came right from my local nursery. Being a descendant of the MacDonalds of Glencoe, I really wanted this berry variety but they were hard to find in stock. Can’t wait to see and taste the berries.

This raspberry is growing well, bright green and healthy. This raspberry seems perfect for smaller areas, as it is indeed compact and has a nice bushy shape. Very nice looking plants. Thank you.
