Description
Black Satin Floricane Thornless (Thorn free x Darrow), semi-erect, was released in 1974 in Illinois. The late-ripening fruit has excellent quality and good firmness (good machine-harvested product), and excellent berries are large with good flavor. Vigorous canes are semi-erect and HARDIER than the other thornless cultivars! The flowers have a beautiful lavender color. The most successful thornless blackberry in the North.
Zones 4-7
Size: 12cm , 1.5 year old tissue cultured plant.

Black Satin
The description is correct. These are very strong plants and filled in my 10 foot row quickly. These are notably hardy, and not only good in the north, but did well in southwest Missouri during exceptional drought and record breaking heat. I recommend these highly, especially for challenging weather conditions. Very hardy and beautiful plants. Thank you.
